front seat motor

front seat motor

My 2001 Expy drivers power seat doesnt move back and forth. The tilt features and lumbar work fine. Does anyone know of a simple fix or do i have to replace the motor and track?

Not going to ask how heavy you are but, as strange as it sounds the problem happens with my wife from time to time (03 expy) and when I (235 lbs ) sit in it I can get it moving again...and not just backward. The problem sounds identical; all other functions work except fwd bkwd. If its similar to mine once you get it moving again it should work fine. I'd also be interested if anybody has the insight on why it happens.

Man thanks alot! I just got home from work and read this thread .I never tried shifting my weight back and forth to unstick it.It worked like a charm.I was hoping I wasent going to replace the track and motor.My wife drives it most of the time so it was adjusted to her but it didnt fit me quite right . Thanks again,it made my night!!!
