Help cold starting?

I have a remote start in my 2000 7.3 and I usually have to try starting 3 times before it starts does anyone know if this problem is usually glow plugs or what?

It's usually the glow plug relay or weak batteries.

I agree with Nut unless it's been doing that all along. How long have you had the truck? How many miles? Does the RS allow time for GP heatup?

What I am getting at is if this may just be colder weather related or not. The more info you can provide, the better off we are sitting in our armchairs.

Does it do it only on the remote start? Or is it even when you turn the key? My remote did the same thing all I had to do was adjust the delay a little so the gp's could cycle completely then it worked like a charm.

Chicken lights are a nickname for extra amber and red running lights you'd add onto your truck. Mine has a few here and there, as well.
