gas tank

hello all. first timer. just bought 2006 xlt f150 supercrew. 30 gal tank? i get it down to as low as I can ..... is there a low fuel light on these trucks?...... most i put in was 26 gallons

Dont' know about the xlt, but the Lariat has beeping and A low fuel message in the messge center. It goes off when the truck has 50 miles left to go in the tank.

yeah, there's a low fuel light and a chime...i have a 30-gallon tank too, and i hardly ever put more than 25 in it even when i think it's getting pretty close!

Ford incorporates a 3-4 gallon fuel reserve into the tank capacity. I've had my tank empty and the light on and still only put 26 gallons into her

My other F-150 has a 2 gallon reserve in each tank. Together they add up to 28 ish gallons. It's one of those nice little features so you're not sitting high and dry on the side of the road.
