biggest difference would be that you have to swap valve cover gaskets and engine wiring harnesses. I think the ac compressor and alternator are in different places too. The longblock (block, cam, crank, pistons, heads...) is the same .
much cheaper way to do that. DIY stage one injectors, intercooler and a chip would do you very well. But along with upgrades come broken trannies if you not careful. so along with those additions a valve body and maybe a torque converter. If you have the money for a good tranny upgrade stage two injectors are with in reach.
You could do all that cheaper than you could buy a SD long block with some miles on then you still need other wiring. And there are programming issues with split shot injectors which aren't as powerful as similar single shot injectors. Also you will need to come up with some custom fuel system to work with.
Also add to the first stage one list a super duty HPOP and your good to go.
I agree with tjbeggs on this . I mean you've got plenty of injectors just laying around that you can build yourself. Plus you still have that banks intercooler and that 5 speed from the f450. You just got to get a chip burned and get it together.
