valve spring size

I have a 1968 302 with a mild cam that was installed by previous owner. I want to replace the old stock valve springs. My question is: How do I know which valve springs to buy if I don't exactly know what kind of cam is in it? Thanks.

when you hit the gas- at what rpm does it push you back the hardest? thatll give you the rpm range of the cam... then look at the cam manufacturers websites and find one with that rpm range... and get springs for that cam... or just replace the cam and springs together... a cam is only about a hundred dollars, lifters are like 60, and springs are 100+ depending on the spring

If it where me and it had stock valve train I'd thru some eldebrock rpm springs in it. Or have a machine shop test a few of the springs you have, go from there.

I ran these springs on a few different motors with mild cams and stock valve train.
