Head Studs are done
I had a visitor from North Carolina over the Thanksgiving Holiday who insisted on pulling the engine down. The next day I found the truck scattered about in my shop when I returned home from work, which seemed to resemble a living nightmare of parts. Now.... I am all for the doing the engine but my personal life has been challenged and I would be of no help. With work and appointments I had to keep, the project marched on. I found my truck ready to fly in a few days.Heads are decked, block is nice and square, and the head studs are done. After several heat cycles on stock programming we rolled the dice and put the most repulsive and extreme tune to the test...
The engine passed with flying colors. Pulling back into the shop after a long WOT run, the degas bottle had no coolant expansion or pressure. Job well done and big Thanks to Matt.....pictures of the deceased gaskets and technical explanations coming soon.
