I was actually quite impressed with the Cooper tires. I think they are AWS. They make them in a lode range E. They are a 60,000 mile tire.My neighbor owns a tire shop and has them on his Yukon in standard load range. I took it for a ride and they are nice. Smooth and quiet.
I've run the ATs and MTs on several rigs. Most of them were built for off road use. For my 05 F150 Lariat, I'm going with the ATs. They'll do what I need them to do off road. And, they'll still handle very nicely on the road.
MTs on a Daily Driver is OK. I've done it for years. But, not on a Lariat. I feel my truck is more luxury and comfort then it is built for off road. Which is why I plan to go with ATs.
As for reese2, I can't answer for them. Just giving my perspective. To each their own.
fordfreak, what kind of trucks have you run the bf a/t's on before? i am interested in getting some for my '04 and a 3" lift, probably get 33's for it on 20" rims. i want a good a/t tire that will wear well. what kind of mileage should i expect out of the bf goodrich a/t's?
i might end up posting a separate thread on this later to see what everyone thinks about a couple of tires i'm interested in as far as wear.
