EBAY BLUES (Bed Extender)

Good News!! I just traded my 2004 FX4 in and got A 2007 KING RANCH and I love it... I thought I had everything I wonted on the truck but the 5.5 Ft. bed is a little short. So went to EBay and bought a bed extender at a good price but no bolt that connect it to the truck. My Ford dealer can’t seam to find a parts number. I need help to find the part or parts number. <O</O

Cool

I am in the same boat. Just got back from the dealer. Says he has a P/N for the '03 and older models, but the '04 and newer only show as a complete ($465) bed extender assembly (no separately available parts). Blows, huh? Looking for a solution now. Not sure yet if/how the '03 hardware would work with the newer trucks.

Hi and Welcome to Ford Truck Enthusiasts!

I assume its a Ford accessory part... and not a "other" brand?
You might want to try e-mailing an site sponsor to see if they could assist in locating the necessary hardware.

You should need the following:

2 pivot bolts: W707381-S900 ~$6.93 each
1 pack of 2 nuts: W520414-S309 ~$2.21 per pack of two
4 grommets: YL3Z-84286A54-AA ~$6.38 each

Prices shown are from fordparts.com

You may also need two large washers that can be found at the hardware store.

I have a bed extender that was from my Sport Trac. It fits perfect in the bed of my flareside bed. Would those parts work with my bed extender?

Verified all of the above works with the '06 F-150 except you do not need the nuts as the bolts are designed as selftapping. The hole has about a 1" diameter by 1/4" thick puck welded to the back side of the sheet metal similar provide the reinforcement needed for threading. The unfortunate thing is that I purchased from my local Ford Dealer and sound the following prices (after receiving):
2 pivot bolts: W707381-S900 ~$10.00 each
1 pack of 2 nuts: W520414-S309 ~$3.93 each (x2)
4 grommets: YL3Z-84286A54-AA ~$7.93 each

All for a grand total of about $60. Wow!!!!!!! Oh well, live and learn

Thanks for the help deerfeedrb!
