Question

F250 SD Alternaor

I have an '02 F250 SD CC that has went through 2 alternators this year. Once last January, then last week. Both were during cold weeks. Any ideas? Is it not strong enough. I have a 5.4 V8 (gas) and haven't added anything electrical other than a car phone charger. Thanks!

What kind of replacement unit are you using? What is the condition of the battery? Good quality replacements are harder and harder to get.

Batteries and discharged batteries are hard on alternators. I take it that regulator failed and not bearings.
