You're spot on. People don't realize that regardless of how much money they sink into a half done car (unless it's an authentic Barret-Jackson Auction quality resto on a popular car), that they aren't going to get penny for penny back. There's a reason they are selling it (no time, no money, no skill, etc.) which means they are "unloading" this thing onto someone else. Good thing there are people who like to do this for fun...
I happen to like Stacey David as well, but I'm not sure of the venue for his new show. How do you think it will do on ESPN2? And it would've been awesome if they showed the front end swap in detail, even though it was with chevy parts.
I am working on a 55 I picked up a few mounths ago, it has a 428 in it, C6 and a 9 inch rear, an old hot rod. Replaced the king pins, and am installing a duel master cylinder, will change the mesed up wiring soon. This truck hasn't run for a few years, will try and get it started in a few weeks, just another project I guess but at 60 what the hay!!!!!
I bought my truck in may from a friend of my uncle, who bought it from my uncle. I bought it with the cab and frame done and a whole lot more work to be done. Last weekend i just got the bed to strip and prime (which for a 50 year old bed it nearly perfict)
I hated it...maybe I am the only one. Everything was Chevy, front clip, engine, trans, rear end.
Nope, I totally agree and don`t see the point of putting all the brand X on it. Why not keep it ALL Ford?
Last year I bought a Model T Touring Rod with a 327 power train/Jag suspension, not my choice of power train but the car and the price was extremely right at the right time. Some day it will go back to a Ford power train, when orginally built in the eary 80`s it had a 428. By the time I got to buy it that changed.
