Same thing I was thinking.. reguardless of the pressure put on the axle the camber will be the same unless the axle bearings are so worn out that the slop in the housing causes a slight camber issue when weight is relieved..
Most of what Ive found with it has been tire pressure related... Since switching to 70psi up front and correcting the toe mine have worn smooth..
Ill agree that the generals are useless.. Basically this truck sealed the deal with me on general tire.. Ill never have another set as long as I live..
I have 17000 on my dually and I brought it to the dealer to fix and on going issue with the alignment when they pointed out the fronts were starting to cup. They told me that I need to rotate all 6 tires atleast every 15k. They are doing them for me. Front to rear inner, Inner to outter, outter to front. They have to break all of them down and remount and balance. It seams like a real pain but figured it was worth a try. This may help you.
I've got a 2005 4wd CC with 16,000 miles on it. I noticed today that the front tires are cupping. I had 65psi in them but i raised them to 70psi today. These are the tires that came on it, Pirelli Scorpions. I can't wait to replace them.
