Are mirrors interchangeable?
I have found a 1999 F-250 for sale but it has the horizontal one piece mirrors. I was wondering if anyone had ever done it or if it was even possible to replace them with the power, telescoping, vertical tow mirrors? Thanks!

You just buy the extendable mirrors. If you have power, it makes like easy in that you pull the three bolts that hold the old mirror, unplug the harness. Then bolt the extendable mirrors to the door, and connect the harness. If you are going to use the newer mirrors with clearnce and turn signals, I haven't gotten back into that yet. But it should be simple to pick up the turn signals from the column or the pass through harness. The clearence lights you can pick up at the back of the head light switch.

You also have two aftermarket options. **** and shefenacker. I have a thing for ****, it's good quality stuff and reasonable pricing. I think the all power **** replacements I usually sell around $440 for the pair, at least that's the price I remember.
