auto vs manual
i am stuck i have been truck pulling for 3yrs now and have been running a 4spd i have now jumped my truck up to mod and need a better clutch but the one i need is 1700 that to me is alot of cash and i have always thought about an auto i have head you need more power to get a auto to work well i think it would be easier to get out of the hole with a auto i could come out in 1st that as i get rolling i could hit 2nd sounds good but keep in mind i am only running a 501 in a class that aloows 540 so i am underpowerd compared to most guys pulling in this class but it is my first year in mod i have heard i can get a c6 built for pulling with touq converter for around 800-1000 that is cheaper than a cluch set up so should i keep the 4spd since i am underpowerd or run an auto and hope it dosent dpower my truck 2 much and shoot for a better hook?????
