I second what stook36 said. Do a Google on "V8 Ranger" and get ready to read. There's TONS of info out there on motor swaps for the Ranger, from people swapping in 302s to certain crazy people putting strokes 460s in there!

We just put one in a 91 ranger. There are kits for the motor mounts, headers, but, there is still a lot of problen areas. Check with Jegs, or Summit on swap parts. It was a lot of work, but, worth it all!!! 5.0,holley carb, nice cam, balanced, send me an e-mail I might be able to help.

Hell, if I had the money and the time for a 460, I wouldn't stop there! I would go for a 514! or a 598! LOL

current is a 528, buying parts for the new 572 which hopefully will be in by the end of next year.
