Well this makes it official. Go ahead and add my heater to the list of ones that didn't work due to something stuck in the friggin door, mine had a pack of matches and a pen. so now my heater finally works. going to start moving on to other issues soon. door needs adjusted, driver side, it hangs a little low and is wearing the latch bolt on the frame, any ideas? or recommendations? need a new dashboard, the mount on the passenger side where it bolts to the cab is sheared off and bouncing around. i need a new delay timer for the windshield wipers, new front and rear bumpers, front from when the wifey hit a deer with the truck on the way home from buying it in jul. I want to put pipe bumpers on it, but still looking for the pipe, have people who can weld it, including myself. and a new hood, looks like it was bumped into something and now is kinda domed out, the front edges don't line up with the quarter panels. that is my working list for the next couple of months, and maybe a bronco 4x4 front end in it (biiiiig maybe) if i can find one the same year with a decent front end. (94). and if it is even possible.
thanks to all the guys in here who post and offer help, you are the guys who helped me fix my heater today without even being here to physically help.
are the hinges bolt in or welded in? haven't really looked, was looking at maybe getting new doors, just the metal part, no glass, or anything on it, and ;getting them primed and painted and putting them on. still want new seats tho.
Replacing the door hinges is easy. Find junkyard units from 85-96 and they bolt right on. If you can't find good hinges in the junkyard, get new pins and replace the hinge pins.
Dashboard can be replaced with junkyard stuff, F-series or Bronco of similar year to yours, no biggie. If it's just the mounting on the passenger side, they all break eventually, and can easily be fixed with two self-tapping screws and a piece of flat steel about 3/4" wide and 1/16-1/8" thick.
Bumpers are also easy to find aftermarket as well as in junkyards. I chose to make a front bumper and it wasn't difficult to do. Just time consuming.
Wiper control module can be bought from rockauto.com or any other standard parts supplier, or again, out of a junkyard truck. F-series and Bronco's of similar years just like above.
Seems like you need to make a list and visit a junkyard
