Can anyone tell me if this casting number C9VE-B is a 429 or 460 without pulling the head and checking the stroke.

It came out of a 69 Lincoln for starters. Did they have a pre smog 460 available? Or were the 69's all 429's?

The Lincoln's in 69 all had 460's I found out that the casting numbers that I posted were the same for the 429's and 460's so now i'm going to have to pull the oil pan and look at the numbers on the crank. Thanx for the responces.

Maybe Im confused.

If all 69 Lincolns were 460 and your block is a 69 Lincoln by the casting ID why pull the pan?

The V in C9VE identifies it as a Lincoln....period.
