diesel conversion
I recently purchased a 1975 f-250 four door four wheel drive with a 4 speed and a 360 I want to convert over to a 6.9 or 7.3 with an after market turbo or find a powerstroke. i would like a 5 speed, but i found a rebuilt c6 for cheap. my only concern is i need some higher gearing in the transmission to help with freeway travel. will a c6 help and any other suggestions before i begin thanks

It will fit without much difficulty,Highboy crossmember has more room than the lowboy. You should maybe look for a 6.9 flywheel/clutch/bellhousing to mate up to the 4spd as you will need tall gears to make up for no overdrive and the 4spd would give you decent start off instead of the C6.

i beleive there is more ot there to offer to convert a gas to diesel then diesel to gas. there is just a lot of wiring that you will need. i would pull the whole harness from anoth 6.9 or buy a complete wiring harness. good luck
