I have always done them with engine off. Also, don't forget to bleed the RABS seleniod .... if you have ABS. It would be located on the framerail under the Cab.

You always start at the point furthest from the master cylinder which will be the right rear, then the left rear, RABS solenoid, front right and then front left - the right side being the passenger side. If you are comfortable doing it, now would be a great time to suction out the master cylinder and top it off with clean fresh brake juice. This way you will be able to refresh a large percent of your brake fluid.

Cheers!

Mike

If you have an air compresser. rent a power brake bleeder. That way you can

DYI and renew all the fluid.

I have the Motive Power Bleeder .... for my VW ... need to find the conversion kits for the Fords and Honda. It was great when I redid the Dubs brakes, I highly recommend it and it doesn't need an air compressor.
