That is a very good point, but if you look back, you will see my previous post about finances and the wifey needing all of her sparkly stuff, so since technically they are working, and the only thing I should have to deal with is snow storms, and county/city workers not getting the roads clear in time, I think that they should suffice for this winter, and this spring I will put some manual hubs in before the off roading season starts.

btw, I have heard good things about Warns premium hubs. Who has them, and what do you think about them?

Thanks!

Most 4wd shops either have them or can get the hubs for you. I like to support locally owned and operated shops and give these shops my business first before I order from larger corprate outfits, that's just me. Do what is easier and more affordable for you.
I think Warn invented the lock out hub years ago. I prefer Warn, but there are also other companies that make manual hubs. I will suggest Warn since I use them.

Do not forget to reverse at least ten feet to unlock your auto hubs, sounds like you did not back up far enough in previous attempts!

A 30 inch diameter tire has a roll out of about 9 feet more or less. 5 feet may not get the tire all the way around.

I see, I didnt realize that it needed to go all the way around, but now, thinking about it, it makes sense
