when my truck is on or off, when i step on the clutch
it doesn't go down smoothly, it feels kidna rough on the way down and up
it also makes some noise, kind of like squeeking like sound
what could it be?
from what i have read it is likly a bushing/hemi/soferical rod end/some kind of joint thing that wheres out and is most common in the 94-97 ford trucks, i hope somone can elaberate on that otherwise i would check the 94-97 PSD fourm, i think there is an aftermarket part that they buy, will work on the newer ones but requires some hack-saw action and other mod, i heard it can be time consumming
again i hope somone can elaborate
i suppose i am goign to try to buy a new pushrod and swap the bushing part over
how long do you guy's clutch last?
where does it engage? mine engages about an inch or two from the floor
It is most likely the slave cylinder making the noise, it will last quite a while as is. Also the 99/00 years had weak forks and it will break sooner or later and you will need to replace with updated beefier fork. The clutch itself with good driving habits will last the life of the truck if your not towing extremely heavy loads.
