I just posted looking for an engine. I got a variety of prices back. Several folks had motors that hadn't run and those ranged between $50 & $150. Several motors were running and those ran between $500 and $650.

But here lies the problem (at least for me). If the motor is sitting on a pallet and if you can load/unload the pallet without the aid of a liftgate, the quotes that I got for freight were $330 (guessing a weight of 500 lbs). But if the freight company had to put the motor on a pallet and then liftgate it onto/off the truck, the freight shot up to $770. By the way, these numbers were for a motor in Tucson and was to be shipped to Fl.

So where your buyer is located figures more into the likelyhood of a sale then the actual cost of the motor. In my case, I needed heads, cams, valve covers, manifolds and the carb. So any of the motors that I found would have been great except for the freakin freight.

In my humble opinion...
