Torque converter lockup?

On ebay there is for sale a "torque converter lockup override module". Does anyone have any experience with this? Can you think of any damage it might do? What would happen if you kept it manually locked when you came to a stop? Wouldn't it stall?

Isn't that for OD that it locks up? Besides, I think that DP-Tuner would be able to make your TC lockup safely and improve your engine running

If it were manually locked when you come to a stop, the engine will die, like not pushing in the clutch pedal on a stick. My father had a Toyota Cressida that did not unlock the TC and thats exactly what happened. Torque converter lockup clutches are a weak point in some Ford automatics, like the E4OD. Ask me how I know. I'm not sure what this "module" would really do. If you prevent lockup, the transmission will more likely heat up and gas mileage suffers.

It lets you manually lock it via a switch so there is less slippage and you do have to unlock it before a complete stop. It supposedly lets downshifts slow you down instead of coming unlocked and upshifts are firmer.
