Wow, I'm starting to feel bad that I DIDN'T hurt myself...
Got the hinge pocket repair completed thru rough grinding. A little fine sanding to clean it up and I can squirt a little rattle can primer on it and go on to the door side hinge repair. Not sure what I'm in for there except I need to fix a messy previous repair. It appears the door side of the hinge is not removeable, so I'll have to cut it out and see what it looks like inside. Pix in a moment.
Sure was nice to be able to work inside! Could work sitting on a chair with casters and roll around as I worked. My wife had bought me a three level heavy duty chromed wire kitchen cart at Sam's club a while back, I put it together and used it as a tool and parts caddy. Power tools on top, hand tools in middle, parts on the bottom. Also could roll my welding cart over to the truck. Sure beats having to carry it out of the kitchen onto the back porch, hook up the gas bottle and run a power cord out to it, then have to alternately move the unit and the tank 1 foot at a time to work in a new location.
Sure makes a world of difference having a nice place to work. Your garage goes a little above and beyond "a nice place to work" I'm glad you were finally able to start enjoying it.
Bet you Haven't stoped grinnin yet. Sure makes things a lot easier when you can work where your tools are all on the same floor don't it. Great hinge pics. Congrates on your new shop.RUSTY
I too had the great weather here in CA. I refused to work on my truck over the Thanksgiving holiday and made a commitment to spend the time with my family. I did go for a cruise with my sons, trying to burn off the turkey I ate.... LOL...
