Exterior cab light rust

I was looking to get those Exterior cab lights for my truck. I really like the look but i was told that if you put the cab lights on they will rust the body/roof since you have to drill holes in the roof. is this true?

They will be professionally installed and if they do rust is there a way to prevent it?

shouldn't do that if there's some kind of rubber gasket type of device or silicone sealant on it, no?

Thats what i was thinking to does anyone else have any other imput or storys about this topic that theyd like to share?

i put them on mine. no problems to date. the lights have a foam type gasket on the bottom. i also put a bead of rtv silicone around them to make sure. i don't think you will have any problems.

you could paint the inside of any holes drilled through the metal
