Putting back a bend

I have a 93 f150 LB that I have started to do some bodywork on. In front of the rear wheel well I have a dent that I straightened out but there is a bend at the very bottom (about 2 feet) that got flattened. Any ideas on how to get that bend back?

If you could be a bit more specific about the "bend" or better yet provide some pics I can help you out.

Is the space behind this spot open?

You could proabably hammer it back with a little time and patience.
If it isn't open, you're restricted to pulling it out somehow. These body lines (I'm assuming it's a body line) are hard to get back, and even harder to get straight.

If you pulled the dent out completely without retaining this body line, you've probably already overworked the metal some.
You should have tried to get this line back at the same time that you were removing the dent. There is a good chance that the metal is stretched. Putting the body line back in is a must. the panel will not hold it's shape without it.

Pictures would help. I have some information that I am planning on posting on my web page someday. Post pics. If my info will help I'll send you a link.

First time I have posted a pic so I hope it works. I have not done anything to the dent yet but what I am worried about is the bend at the bottom there. All the way to the right is how it's supposed to be. Thanks for any info.

W/o actually being able to see it, and based off the picture a stud gun is probably going to be your best bet considering you cannot get behind the panel. As for "how its supposed to be" is the panel on the opposite side not dented? If so your best bet is to just do it based on side-side/left-right comparison. As fix did say if you have any body lines to play with they are a bit tricky, do take some time and the metal will not hold shape w/o it. If the metal has been streached you can shrink it using a shrinking tip on a studgun or oxy acetylene torch. Depending on how wide the gaps are between the two panels (circled in red) where it seems like the flage has peeled back as a last resort you might be able to fit a pick in there and work the dent just be sure that while doing so the flange of the back piece of metal isnt bending backwards and you will more than likely need to reapply corrosion protection inbetween the two panels.

That doesn't look too bad from the picture. You will have to use a stud gun or drill some holes to pull it out with. Start with the body line area. Work all of it forward a little bit at a time switching from the body line to the areas around it until you get it close. Without being able to get behind it, you'll probably never get it perfectly straight, but you also don't want loads of filler in it. Some times if these spots are really bad, it's faster to put a patch panel in. Your's should come out pretty well if you take your time with it.

Here's some info on shrinking metal. I don't have a web page up yet but you can get to it anyway. http://pen.eiu.edu/~gddavis/
It doesn't look like it is stretched much from the picture, but that can change really fast when you're pulling the panel forward. If you read these documents, please be nice and proof read them for me as well. I don't always spell all that well.
