HEY FORD NUTS this probabley sounds stupid but how do you identify a 9" never have realy seen one im new to this stuf THANKS TERRY :-X11

9" axles have a center section that is removed from the front for easily changing the ratio by swapping the "pumpkin".

The housing around the pinion is larger due to the larger bearing support that makes the 9" so desirable. What I look for are the two bottom studs/nuts that cannot be removed by a ratchet/socket - open ended wrench needed due to the housing.
