i almost hate to ask, but here goes. do all of the Ex's, with rear dvd from the factory, have wireless headphones? if so, how do i get them to work??? please help!!!
please help!!! i can't be the first to have a stroke about this issue. i can't get any help from the dealer, refers me to local AV stores. headliners and pillars and wires, that's what the AV store says. i say sheetrock!!!
sorry for the vent.
Have you replaced the batteries in the headset? I just picked up an '05 EB V10, and it has the OEM DVD system, but no headsets. Ordered a single headset today.
I don't think the 03s had the IR headphones as an option. I have an 03 EB and nothing in the manual talks about wireless head phones. Of course, I bought mine used so I'm not sure what should have come with vehicle.
bought mine used as well. i just cannot figure out how the design engineer or marketing people thought it would be a good idea to skip the wireless on a $53,000.00 truck!!! un-freakin-believeable. if i can find out what transmitter it is and what pins to attach it to, i will do it myself. i am not screwing crap into my headliner.

if there is no way to add an IR transmitter to my truck, i'll sell you mine. they are oem for 05 and up, and they are brand new. yes, i put brand new batteries in them and they turn on, but after they can't find a signal, the auto off feature kicks in to save battery life. i hope someone knows of a clean solution.
At the rear of the console, down low, is another set of controls for the audio system. In the lower-left corner should be a button with images of a headset & a speaker. Press that button ... puts you "dual audio" mode. All of the interior speakers will shut down except for the front two, and the DVD-player sound should be coming thru the headset. I just did it using a plug-in headset.
i think my problem is deeper. it seems that the 03 model is the ONLY year that does not have an IR xmitter. i'm looking for a solution to this, but i have none so far.
