No, I don't have too much time on my hands... ...I was off sick and bored so..If anyone was wondering what a Chopped '63 Fairlane looks like.....
Stock '63 Fairlane...
Chopped maybe 4" 63 Fairlane....
My apologies to anyone on dial up, ...Well Al, I change my mind, it looks good! Maybe it's the skirts that do it for me?
Now I'm off to put a Pinto body on a Bronco II or maybe a 6 foot truck bed on a Focus! No grinding no welding!
That is a 63 1/2 Fairlane Sport Coupe. If you find pics of a 2 door sedan & do your magic, that's what mine looks like.
Now Frank, you need to photo crop the rear wheel openings. Typical Ontario Fairlanes rusted badly around the wheel opening & some guys would cut the rust out and match the rear opening with the shape of the front opening. This would include the body line around it too. This was my second 63 with the modified rear wheel openings.
While you're `croppin', how about installing an FE engine in a 63? That would make Chuck really happy. Afterthought????????? I wonder if I ever told Chuck about the 64 I had with the 428 in it????????
Next ... Cut a B2, crop in a SOHC. Lose the inner fenders. Delete the heater. A nice finishing touch of some mirror stainless would be good too.
One last thing ... Can you have it ready for Friday?
AL.
Oh man, did I open a can of worms. I didn't realize the world of custom automotive fabrication would be so demanding! All these orders, unreasonable deadlines, I may have to hire more staff!!
Al, you'll have to wait, no sedans availble, only hardtops, the SOHC is on backorder, got to finish Chad's truck first, turns out that in virtual land the B2 is little harder to do, I imagine the same is true in reality. Why doesn't someone else give this a try? I did it using MS PaintBrush, nothing more poweful than that. I think I'll retire after the B2., after all Chad pleaded......(3 x please= plead)
well.....
and TADAHH!
I think I need a vacation now two major project in two days!
UGLY! Good photo-chopping job, you have to look pretty closely to find the vertical chop-line in the tree.
With a chop like that, I think it needs to be slammed lowrider style. I don't think it would like right jacked up with big mudders. Don't bother though, as I'm sure nobody would be dumb enough to do it in real life. Will have to play around with MS paint...
The more you look at the chopped versions, the more they grow on you. Next thing you know, somone will want a 6 door B2 Stretch Limo maybe even in screaming pumpkin orange.
Ok,Ok, enough. Back to serious business here.
Where the heck is Chuck???????? If anybody can draw up a limo or the other thing (big secret that Chuck told me), it's got to be Chuck.

I can't get ms paint to even make an avatar of my UNI. I envy you. Look at my avatar and you will see how bad I am at it. I would like to see my UNI in black but when I try It all turns black, chrome, windows and all. I know it is a lot to ask and that I am at the bottom of the list. But If you can't find the time I understand and will keep trying. Thanks. Tricky
no problem, pm with an email address and I'll send you a resized version of your '62. Paint brush doesnt resize well but I have other apps that will do it. I'll leave it white cuz it looks great! now, screamin'n pumpkin orange '62 unibodies ....hmmm
How about we get Frank to chop his truck so we can see what it would look like?
Wadda ya say there Frank? 6 or 8 inches off the top and slam the truck to the ground !!!!!! Add some 20" rims and rubber band tires and, of course a flag tastefully done on each side of the box.
C`mon Frank !!!! It should be really easy for you considering you cut the roof off once already.
