There has been a delay from the manufacturer receiving our new mega-server, and we must take this step to keep the current system serviceable during peak times...
How do I become a member? Dang, how am i going to find it with out a search button - LOL
The site server is currently overloaded, so search has been disabled for non club FTE members.
You have two options.
1. Join club FTE
2. Wait for the new server to be installed.
Search will be enabled again as soon as the new server is online for everyone.
If search was not disabled, the site would be crashing every evening.
The new server has arrived at FTE headquarters.
As soon as the software and database can be transferred to the new server it will be put online.
This should have occurred last month, but there was a problem with the manufacturer that the order was originally placed with. Administration was forced to cancel the original order and place another with a different manufacturer. This has put everything behind schedule several weeks.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but it will be even better once the new server is online.
Click the blue supporter box to the right of my name.
Works kinda like an "Easy Button" at Staples.
Now I got to beg the wife for the PayPal login info, will it never end man! The price is reasonable, far less than a few basic manuals... I'll put the squeeze on her
I am not sure where they are with the swap.
I know it will be ASAP, but the exact time or even day I do not know.
I am sure it will take several days to get everything copied over and set up, then I am sure it will be test run before it is asked to handle the traffic load.
As shook up as some people have been over the search feature being disabled, I would hate to read the posts if the site crashed for a day or so.
Slow and careful is the only way to proceed, and then check everything 6 times before you call it "good to go".
There was a plus side to the server having to be reordered, the one that was finally purchased was much more high end than the original order.
Computers have a way of being obsolete the day after you order your new one, which is five weeks before it is delivered.

Hey Dave. I have somehow lost my signature that goes with the post. Any suggestions? It sure helps when I don't have to explain what vehicle I am referring to. Thanks for the help. Tom
