Premium sound??
How can you tell if you have the Premium sound package??
My 96 came with a aftermarket cd player that has took a dump. I have a OEM CD player that I would like to install but I have been told I need this package for it to work. Is this true?? Any suggestions apreciated!

remove the cd player and if you have 2 plugs that are flat and long then you have non premium sound. if you have one long and flat and one that is roughtly square then you have premium sound the square one will be about 3/8ths tall and 1/2 inch long maybe a bit smaller. It been a while since I saw my connectors.

you can buy a DIN tool at a local radio shop for a few bucks, or just use some small allen keys and slide them into the 2 holes on each side of the radio. then pull from the allen keys to pull the whole thing out
