Hey guys, and gals (if there are any), I have a 2000 F-250, diablo chip, IPC switch, ATS compressor housing, 4 inch straight pipe, gauges.... anyway the other day I was driving down the road and it just cut off, so I figured it was the cps, I went and bought a new one and when I got back to the truck it started fine, I was only 2 miles from home so I figured I would just change it at home, well I only made it half way and it cut off again. I changed it in a church parking lot and the truck ran fine for a couple of days. Then it became hard to start when it was cold, since the batteries where 6 years old I figure time to change them anyway, go down to the advance store and they say one of the batteries is weak, so I go ahead and change them both. Truck runs fine for a couple of more days until today when I get off of work, truck wont start at all. It turns over, but wont fire for nothing. I orderd a blue cps but it hasnt arrived yet, any ideas on what it could be, and how to check and see if it is???
Thanks in advance and have a happy Thanksgiving
what i do know: blue cps+tuner= dont mix, blue cps alters timing somehow, which is what your tuner is doing. Diablo may have insight on it but generally people arent stacking the tuners with a blue cps.
without any more info on last oil change, codes etc. i cant think of a direction to point you in.
Thanks pullinair, the oil is fine, thats the first thing I checked, I change it every 5000 miles with 5w 40 synthetic, the guy at the advance store said the alternator was bad first then he said it was fine which leads me to believe that could be the problem, I am going to put my jump box on it and if it starts I will take it somewhere else and have them test it, but I would think that would be the problem. I am also going to take the chip out just to see if that could somehow be the problem, and I have a new fuel filter.
Thanks for the info on the blue cps!!!
