engine swap question

I have a 1996 ford f-150 w/a 4.9 litre I-6 that needs to be replaced and I am
wondering if a 1995 4.9 litre I-6 engine will work without any problems with the
wiring or anything else?

If any of the sensors don't match the wiring, just swap them from the 96 engine to the 95 engine and plug the harness right back in.

I thought the '96 was MAF and the '95 was SD?

It doesn't matter. The engine itself is the same -- electronics are all that is different.
