Just an FYI: bought LMC's high output headlight harness and installed it about a month ago. Could have been a little longer to ease the routing to the driver's side light, but it made it. After using the lights about 5 times for a total of about 3 hours, one of the lights was dim when first turned on, the would brighten after a few minutes. Then one evening, neither light would come on. Checked all connections, power from battery, power from light switch, no problems. Traced it down to the cheap relays the use. One was already dead! Napa wants $35 for one relay to fit the harness. It's only a $30 harness. Now I'll have to use Bosch relays and modify the harness. My point? Do yourself a favor and make your own harness if you need more light output. Hope this stops someone else from having to reconnect their headlights to the original harness on the side of the road.
One relay is for the low beams.
The other two are for the high beams, one for each light.
The other one is for the fog lights.
12 guage wiring thru electrical system.
Soldered all connectors and used heat shrink to protect all circuits and connections.
I built a small panel out of aluminum to mount all the relay and fuse panel.
Added extra grounds straps to panel, frame, and body and engine of 1976 F150 4x4.
I used the article Torque1st mentioned and this tech article, https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...r_Brights.html.
But, used two relays for the brights (hi-beams), The lights are much, much brighter with the blaster pack.
There are fabulous groups here at FTE.

I had the same issue when I did the bypass setup on my truck. I used bosch style relays, but i used the ones the local cahin sells as a foglight relay. Burned both of them up in about a month.
Now I'm using fuel pump relays for a 1991 chevy corsica ($6) and haven't had an issue. They're totally sealed and are designed to run a FI fuel pump, so i figure reliability ought to not be an issue.
Carquest sells a Universal HD headlight plug that just so happens will fit those Bosch relays also and the headlights. It can save some time but they run about $12 each -yeowch!
Relays and sockets can also be found from: http://order.waytekwire.com/
Select: Products/Relays/Connectors
Several types are available including one that screws to a panel. Remember to get the contact terminals. Of course those relay sockets also fit the headlights!
Bronco graveyard and some of the other Bronco houses sell a heavy duty headlight harness and it looks to be better than the LMC one, I have the LMC one, but i havent had any issues yet.

Great info, Torque!!! Thanks for the headsup on a money saving relay system, going to call Car Quest today and get the stuff sent over. Appreciate the heads up on the parts!!!!!!!!
Approxiamate price for the the headlight relay system (aka blaster headlight pack) around $145.00 plus or minus 25. My brighter headlight relay system was around $70.00 without pulling all the receipts.
$12.00 X quantity - 6 Universal HD headlight plug = $ 72.00 plus tax. The relay plugs off certain vehicles will work too.
$4.00 X quantity - 4 relays = $ 16.00 plus tax
$6.00 x quantity - 3 rolls of wire (red, black, blue) = $18.00 plus tax
Fuse panel and fuses = $12.00
Metal or Aluminum Panel to mount the relays, fuse panel = $3.00 to $7.00
Solder and electrical tape = $6.00
Screws to hold panel = $1.00
electrical wire wrap = $14.00
extra grounding straps = $2.00 at the pick and pull.
Was it worth it , having brighter lights, priceless
High beams can go on a fuse but remember to use a circuit breaker for the low beams or whichever. Losing your lights completely to a couple blown fuses is a pain. The OEM system runs them all thru the one CB in the switch.
Thanks for the cost rundown!!!
