decoding the vin for gear ratio.

Need some help with decoding a vin for the gear ratio. What I want to know is what number equals what gear ratio. Ex: ?= 4.10. Can anybody help me out. Thanks in advance guys.

The VIN won't contain the gear ratio, but the sticker on the driver side door jamb will have an axle code. There also should be a tag on the rear end that has the gear ratio stamped on it. You can post back the axle code or search google to find out the ratio.

if you click on articles/specs on the top of the page there is a thing in there that will tell you.
