Speaker Installing?
Does anyone out there know a good way to replace the speakers in the older model (94) F250 extended cab? The speakers used in the doors and rear corners are so small and shallow and it leaves absolutley no room for bigger deeper speakers. Is there a good way to put out exterior speakers maybe in small speaker boxes?

I replaced the factory speakers in my door with aftermarket ones with little difficulty. Getting the door panel off can be tricky. As for the rear speakers, yes, the holes are very shallow and there is a very limited selection on 6 x 8 speakers. I would buy some 6 x 9's and put them in boxes. I think they will fit under the rear seat. After that its just a matter of disconnecting and splicing on to the factory speaker wire in the corner. The wire can be run out the bottom between the plastic and the carpet. I did a similar set up in my truck but it is a regular cab with a bench seat. Good Luck
