ABS & Brake Lights
We recently purchased a 1995 F-150 4WD with the 5.8 engine. A Week ago, the ABS Light started to flash on the dash panel, and now the brake lights are not coming on.
Also, someone has added a trailer box brake system, mounted on the underneath of the dash. I'm not positive, but before the ABS Light started to flash on the dash, I thought there was a red light that was always on, on the trailer brake box.
Now the red light only comes on if I move the slider switch on the trailer brake box---and then the brake lights do work.
But the brake lights do not work when I press on the vehicle brake pedal.
Can anyone give me any advice as to what I need to look at to fix the ABS blinking light problem? And/or is the brake lights not coming on due to the ABS flashing light on the dash? Or is it just conincidence that they stopped working when this started flashing, and I need to look at something in that trailer brake box?
