i had an earlier post about trans not shifting when cold well the engine surges alot while trans wont shift and all was wondering does a bad CPS have anything to do with that after truck warms up it shifts ok

Thread moved to 7.3L PSD section.

No, the CPS won't affect how the trans shifts. When it's real cold, the tranny will be hesitant to shift into higher gears until it gets warmed up a bit.
