I have a 351 cleveland and it runs fine its been sitting for several years and only run ocasionally pulled the intake today it appears like one of the rods is sligthly bent but it hard to tell the way they sit. How noticable would it be if it was would it affect the way the motor runs ??? Also I'm replacing the pan with a rear sump pan from a junkyard the inside of the pan is rusted are there any ill affects to sandblasting the inside of the oil pan. Any other options ?
Find out what made it bend, then take the engine apart, replace the necessary parts, clean it, and reassemble. Remember to run diesel engine oil and treat it just like you were breaking it in all over again.

Check to be sure all the pushrods are properly seated in the lifters and rockers. I would take them out and roll them on a piece of glass to check for bends. Depending on your heads the valves may or may not re adjustable.
Guys I pulled the rods and they are OK everything looks pretty good this should save me some change. Now its on to blast my pan and seeif the motor fits. Thanks Bak
