I was always an early bronco man, but now I am definitely a 51 - 52 Ford Pickup man. I sold the bronco I recently purchased (made a little extra) because I saw a 52 cabover I had to have. Many of you may have seen it on epay. The person who bid it up decided they really did not have the money once they found out the shipping cost. It is 600 miles from me, but I still had to have it. I put a picture in my gallery. I would copy it, but I don't know how to do it. Someday I will have to learn from one of you long timers on here. Wait a minute, I'm a "senior" user now so I should do it quickly. I will take the truck down to the frame and start from there. It will have to wait its turn though. I still have to get the 226 back from the engine shop and put it together. I will then have to finish the body work on the conventional cab and give it a coat of final paint. I will have to find a better bed, maybe. What do you guys and gals think I should do with it? I'll be waiting for your reply, thanks Kevin
Well, the deal just got better. I will pickup a car along the way and get the truck for $325.00. I hope to be back late Wednesday evening. I will leave at 7:30 am tomorrow. I will go from Massillon, Ohio to Pokomoke MD to pickup the Caddy. then its off to Coplay PA to pickup another flathead, and finally onto Hadley MA to drop the caddy off and pickup the cabover. 1269 miles altogether, and I wonder why my friends call me a road dog. I guess it is just nice to see the country and get out of the restaurant for a few days.
Your right he shortened the frame, but I have a couple of options on another frame. I would like to make it original again. The price was right, and my trailer would have been empty on the way out anyway. They seem to ride alot better with weight on them. They don't bounce around as much.

Thanks, I'm excited about it. With the help from you guys I'm well on my way with the 51 conventional cab. As you probably figured out I like the teeth look of these two years.
I see you got it or atleast going to get it (lol). Looks like a real nice truck. As for the road dog I think you may be a step above that "road warrior". Let me know how that flat head checked out.
I think I owe you some mounts, I will go home now and take them off before I get side tracked once again. Cheryl will mail them out tomorrow. I'm on my way to the garage now, so I will check back to the forum later.
I owe lowtruckin the mounts. I tore the flathead down, but I have to wait for the shop to get caught up before he can dip and magniflux it. My trip back from your house went great. Thanks Again for the trade.
If the friggin' search function weren't turned off again, I would post a link to a similar COE that has been shortened quite a bit. It's lime green and it's SSWWEEEETT! If you can find it, check it out. It's got me wanting one! BTW, nice truck!
Thanks for the info. I think I remember that one. I sure would like to see it again. I probably could get some great ideas from it. Well if one of the wise men of this site comes along maybe they can set up the link. That green truck looked awsome if I remember correctly.
The possibilities seem endless. I hope I can sleep tonight, its a long 22 hours of driving ahead. Thanks for posting the pic. I will have extra motivation now to finish the one I have started, probably work on both at once for awhile.
