I have a 90 gallon transfer tank in the bed of my 87' and when I go to fill up I go to big truck lanes for the flow. Now I can't fit the big truck nozzles in my stock fillernecks(like I could in the Mostly Old Part And Rivets that I had) so I have to go to the auto lanes when I'm done and that makes me . Is there a way to make the flange on the fillernecks larger? thanks guys
Yea but that makes a tigh seal and I think it might affect the tank venting? Plus when I do that I can't get it on the first click of the stop on the pump, so I can only put like 3 cents a second. What "little cover" are you refering to? Diesels don't have the covers on the fillerneck only gas burners if I'm not mistaken unless the early ones did.
Maybe it doesn't... worked on too many different vehicles lately... but no, you can't open it all the way up, even if you hog out the fill neck. I can get it to the first latch on a good day... be sure your tank vent on the top of the tank is clear, found mine plugged solid, now it works good again.
Yea I know droping my tanks is probably the only to fix it. oh well I will fix my sending units then while I'm at it. I can't tell if I have 2 or 19 gallons and I like to know cause I'm always towing different trailers and can't always guess my mpg. What's that about two birds with one stone?
I actually replaced my front fill neck with one from a gasser, and it had the same size hole in it as the original diesel neck does. The reason I had to replace it was because my last tire adventure tore it out, and the rear one was smashed so bad I couldn't even use it any more, had to drive back on my trip 600 miles from home without being able to use my rear tank... that sucked.
