Yep it's the 'magpie', or 'OOoo shiny' syndrome. I have seen all kinds of shiny doo dads you can buy cheaper, new, from Carpenter, go for ridiculous prices on ebay. I have seen burnt out , used cigarette lighters go for twice new price, f'rinstance..
I knew a guy who used to double his yearly income by going to pick-a part, stripping off shiny items, usually during "All you can carry for 35 bucks" day, and selling them for crazy prices on ebay.
Just goes to show, there IS one born every minute.
I can see finding something of interest on uPay and over bidding on it if you really want or need it, but this seller even listed the price, part number and where to get it. The only other thing the seller could do was to place the order and have it dropped shipping to the buyer.
If I didn't want the trim set I bought for $65 the week before I would throw it back on uPay and see what kind of profit I would get. I think the shipping on the pieces was something like $15 so for $80 I could most likely more than double my money.

It amazes me too sometimes...Just got done watching a used "No Limit Volare install video" climb to $81 plus 4.99 shipping! I have seen several other things go crazy too. I am almost convinced I should never throw anything away...now if someone could just convince my wife of that!
I buy a lot on ebay, but I research first what the price is anywhere else (a google search) and decide how much I am willing to pay then set up a snipe. I just bought a brand new Nikon digital camera for 300.00 less than any retailer wanted. I also bought a set of firewall to fender support rods for 2.55!
There is a seller on there tho that sells IR air tools with a reserve price = retail price and gets buyers to bid above retail! DUH!
