Steel Wheels

I am looking for steel wheels for my 73 4x4 F100. I am running 31x10 tires, and want to use the original hub caps. Anybody have any ideas on where to come up with these? Seems all the wheels out there are mag type.

You should be able to find a ton of them in the bone yard. I think a 10" tire will fit a standard rim. Alittle paint and you are good to go. I have the steel on mine for the winter, so my old schools mags. stay out of the salt. Erv

I have 31's mounted on the factory 15x7 rims on my Bronco,
You should be able to get a factory steel rim from the 60's through into the 90's to work,
that makes for alot of rims available to use.

Okay; thanks. I was kind of worried about the 7" wheels with the 31's. I have used stock rims on 31's and 33's before. But I didnt get off road very much. Here in the panhandle its almost everyday.

IMO 7" wheels for 10" wide tires is too stinkin narrow and you're just asking for sqirmy-*** steering. (stars mine;)

Another thread suggested 8" wheels for 235/85-16's and 7" is plenty wide for those.

Unique wheels from Discount Tire. ;)

There are a lot of steel wheels avail. The rim should be about as wide as the tread.

Check the tire manufacturers website for wheel width requirements. If they don't have those figures just check the major manufacturers and be conservative.
