Question limited slip

I have an 87 F150 4x4 and I was wanting to know what I needed to do to convert it to limited slip back and front.

find a traction loc differential for any 8.8 ford rear with 31 spline axles. they came in f150's, broncos, exploreres, and i think the new mustangs. ive got a traction loc sitting on my shelf in my garage for my 87, and it came out of a 03 explorer, im just waitng to buy some 4.10 or 4.30 gears for my front and rear, and then take the whole package up to the local gear man.

by the way your front is a dana 44 reverse cut, or high pinion diff. just in case you do a gear swap too....what tranny do you have?

A front limited slip will be a bear to drive offroad.. all it wants to do is go straight. A locker would be a much better option since you are buying a differential anyway.
