I just pulled the 6 cylinder engine and three speed column shift trans out of my 1960 F100 panel and installed an '88 Chev 350 FI and 700 R4 transmission. What will the 60 tranmission fit? Also, if anyone needs parts from the 6 cylinder, I'll send them to you for the freight and crating charges. It ran O.K but smoked. I'm in Tyler Texas.

Jim, That's a generous offer. I would like to upgrade my 54 223's distributor to one that has mechanical advance. I'll pay the freight and $5.

I was wondering about whether the transmission from my truck would fit my wife's Model A. The Model A does not have synchros, you have to double clutch the bugger. Slow as heck.
