another E4OD problem need help quick

another E4OD problem need help quick
just bought this van 1996 E350 5.8 15 pass.
when running at a steady speed and steady pressure on the gas it is great
increase the gas a small amount to just a light increase of speed and it
bucks, just a sudden drop out of the trans
not really dropping out of gear just out and right back in 1/2 second
and when this happens i hear a squeak in the trans
it sounds like a mouse squeak and only for about 1/2 second
this will continue to jerk every 3 or 4 seconds by holding steady increase
on the gas
if i go ahead and give it gas to get up and go no problem
no jeking no squeaks
this only occurs after getting above 35mph and the converter locks
up
plan on a 1500 mile trip on thanhsgiving weekend with it so
i need help this week

If it is not the converter, your gonna need some work. Although it sounds to me like the converters clutch plates are gone and can't hold under acceleration. But I don't know anything about autos.

UPDATE
I have a B&M shift improver that i took off my e250 and installed on this
van to see if it made any diff.
it did but not what was expected
the b&m unit electronically increases the pressure
by turning the unit on it makes the jerking worse rather than making the clutches
lock tighter
this leads me to think my pressure is already to high
does this make any since at all
