5th gear slips out?
I have a 93 ranger 5th gear started slipping . I pulled the transfer case and extension housing to reveal gears and items i'm not to familiar with I did a visual on the bronze syncro all the teeth look good i did hear that sometimes a loose bolt could cause this? if so what one do i tighten there is a little play. but again not familiar with this area I don't want to do trial and error not sure what i'm doing here i need this problem fixed ASAP! any help or link to a website would be real helpful any help would be great to get me in the right direction could it be as simple as just tightening this nut to specs? again any help would be great!
