Some ideas for my truck

Hi guys, just posted some updated pics of my toy, need some advice on how to finish it up, I really wanted to get rid of the stock 3/4 ton suspension but instead I made it my friend, all new PST fronts, brakes, shocks, lowered front axle, etc, let me know, do I do it low and slow or prostreet, custom, ratty *** old ride, whatever let me know and check out the pics. Thanks James

Boy, the answer to that question is such a personal preference, Like asking which flavor ice cream would you like better, vanilla, chocolate or strawberry.
My suggestion is first get it mechanically sound and safe to drive, put it on the road and do to it whatever makes you happy and allows the truck to do whatever you want it to do.

I vote for "ratty *** old ride". Partly because I love that phrase, but also I love a truck that is ratty and well-used on the outside and "haul butt" on the inside. The ultimate sleeper. Many a Honda will rue the day.

The thing about the 3/4 ton is that it was built to work hard. It has capacity, suspension and the gears to do anything a modern rig will do. With that 460 in there, it will have all the grunt it could need to do that all day long. The 8-lug rims make custom wheels expensive (I'm guessing?). Besides, if you are like me, it's hard to justify your truck as just a toy. It needs to earn a living.

In keeping with the low buck theme that you have well in hand, I would paint it myself in a sealed primer (I vote dark gray). Paint the rims red. Maybe wide whites, if you can find some to fit. With just enough chrome (if there is such a thing).

In the meantime...drive that beast! I'm a believer that if you drive it enough partially done, your perfect end result will make itself known.
