Oil Pressure

96 250 at idle gage goes to no pressure as soon as the RPM goes up a little past idle the pressure reads normal any answers?

Oil pressure indicator is driven by a switch & resistor, not a variable sensor. I heard somewhere that the switch flips at about 5 lb. You have a problem somewhere if the switch is off at idle; possible that the oil pump is tired. Give thought to adding a real oil pressure guage.
