blown tranny... ?
so we've got this '99 PSD w/ 4r100 that recently developed some tranny issues.
When you put it in gear, it takes several seconds (at least 10) before it will finally engage and slowly creep away.
Fluid smeels like poop but is full.
Are there any other failures that could cause this problem? I don't want to change the tranny and find out it still has the problem.

yeah, I've got his VB and hopefully will have one of his trannies some day.
Unfortunatly, we tried calling him from the shop and left messages for about a week before giving up. The owner of the truck expressed that he wouldn't want this problem if his tranny went out...
We've sinced ordered a BD tranny from a local diesel shop (only option other than local rebuild) and recieved it, we'll be installing it on monday.
We still have not heard from BTS, even though we left numerous messages inquiring as to how to get one. It's been 3 weeks, I'm assuming we'll never get a response.
