fuel pump electrical diagram needed
Can anyone tell me how the power is delivered to the electric fuel pump in the tank on my '86 F350. Given that the pump will only operate when the engine is cranking there must be a sensor (oil press? or tack sensor?) which closes to power the fuel pump.
Does anyone have a diagram of the fuel pump power circuit?

Do a search "Fuel Pump wiring problem" under Misc.> Electrical. There is a great thread there with diagrams. It has an oil pressure switch that activates after the pressure builds. To start the engine, the pump works off the starter solenoid.
